The down payments extension is very similar to deposits, but for better management and control, they are separated. A down payment is an advance payment, typically for an expensive item. Accordingly, the extension should be used for expensive goods or services, which may also have initial deposits, like buying an estate, a car or for organizing a big event such as a wedding.
The software is in BETA and some feature aren't available at the moment or may be subject to change.
Main Settings
Once you have created a down payments extension, you can customize it in the configuration section. Main settings incorporate three tabs: ‘applied to’ that can be used to link the down payment component to one or more calendars, ‘actions’ which can be used to delete or duplicate it and ‘main data’ which contains the following:
1NomeEdit this field to change the name of the down payment. Only you can see this name.2EtichettaEdit this field to create a label for your down payment. This is the name your clients will see.3Tipo di valoreSelect weather the number is a fixed price or percent value. The default type is percent value.4For fixed value, you have the following settings:4AValore del prezzoType in the fixed value for the down payment but keep in mind that this payment typically represents a percentage of the total purchase price. Only number characters and ‘.’ are allowed. By default, the value is 0.4BPrezzo promozionaleAdd a promotional value if needed.4CApplicareThis will determine how many times the down payment will apply. It can be applied only once or by period (per day, hour etc). By default, it will apply once.4DDimensione del periodo (giorni/minuti)This input will be displayed only if you select to apply the value by period. Type in the number to set the frequency by days or minutes. The default value is 1.4EAlternareIf enabled, the value will be multiplied with the number of selected items. By default, this toggle is disabled.5For percent value, you have the following settings:5AValore percentualeType in the percent value for the down payment. Because usually it is a large sum it is better to use this option. Only numbers and ‘.’ are allowed. By default, the value is 0.5BPercentuale promozionaleAdd a promotional percent value if needed.
Advance Settings
The component is very straightforward, all you need to do is to create a down payment, set a value and link it to the calendar or the extension where you want it to apply (you may also apply it to products or services).
